The man is a great leader who has served too many other universities and has leaded them to future. The honorable president of Kentucky Wesleyan College is Dr. Craig Turner. He was the president of Catawba College of Salisbury in North Carolina, serving for three years 2008 to 2011. His great history began with the Hardin Simmons University of Abilene in Texas where he was also the president for seven years, from 2001 to 2008. In the same university he was the executive vice president and chief operating and academic officer. Dr. Turner was a man of great ambition, he was well reputed the Head of the Department of English and also the Professor of English at the Mississippi College. He also worked as the Associate and Assistant Professor of English in Texas A & M. Dr. Turner got many degrees in English, Arts and History. He got his Master of Arts in English and Bachelor of Arts in Department of English from the Baylor University. He has also done his Ph. D. in British and American Literature from one of the renowned university, Tulane University. He has written many articles and entries in various publications and has also published his books. In 1990s, Kentucky Wesleyan College focused on his mission to prepare leaders for the future. Kentucky Wesleyan College became the first college who provided the facility to hook up with the computer terminals in the student’s dormitory since 1990s. In 2000, the campus bas banged by a F3 class tornado which brought down the campus of Owensboro. It was due to the true spirit of the people that the campus was rebuilt again with more facilities and physical plant. Many changes followed the event, many new faculties and academic programs were added to the curriculum in 2007. The college first endowed chair, W. T. Woodward Chair of Entrepreneurial Studies was introduced. Kentucky Wesleyan College became the one of the fastest growing institution of the state. In 2008, Kentucky Wesleyan College celebrated its 150 years of extra ordinary years accomplished by their hard working authorities, faculties and for most its talented students.
